My First Ecuador BRF Cake Pins of Many!!! (PICS) (Updated Pics)

Here are some of my first Ecuador pins off of BRF cakes. Total incubation time was 22 days, and my first pins came on day 8 in the FC. I have 48 jars total waiting in my incubator almost ready to go as well. I really excited to see these pins. In my incubator I have 12 jars each of Ecuador, Treasure Coast, Golden Teacher, and B+!!! Here are some pictures of my incubator, FC, and pins!!!

I'm super happy with my results so far, and soon hope to see tons of shroomies everywhere!!!

Incubator temperatures are 82-87 degrees F. FC conditions are 70-75 degrees F, 99% RH. I fan and mist 3-6 times a day.

Also, I notice a majority of the pins are growing on the bottom side of the cake. Would it be a good idea to flip the cake over? I know the shrooms have enough power to grow anyways and what not, but I'm just wondering.

incubator should be at 80 degrees and no warmer. anything above that slows growth.

Everywhere I've read says 86 is optimal for mycelium growth. My jars seem to moving pretty fast.

86 is definately too high and is inviting contams. Lower your temps to around 73-75 degrees.

Again, you want your temps to be between 73-75 degrees. Its better for your temps to drop a little lower than be too high. Alot of contams will thrive on the higher temps.

None of my jars are contaminated. The slowest one is like 85% done and all 48 of my jars are healthy. I did some more research on the incubation temps, and I found many many posts saying low to mid 80's is optimal for mycelium growth. 73-75 degrees is the temp I have in my FC. 73-75 just seems too low for an incubator to me. But I'll keep looking into it. I appreciate the information. Peace!

Had anyone ever tried to to dilute one syringe down to 2 and increase the amount at each inoc site to speed up mycelium growth?

@JPMagic: That looks like a well organized setup. For your incubation chambers, how are you heating them? Pads down at the bottom?
@Wunbadmofo: You can't dilute something to increase its concentration. If you divide a cup of beans between 2 people or 10 people, it's still one cup.
