Ready to fruit? (pic)
    #10086028 - 04/01/09 09:24 AM (15 years, 9 months ago)

I put this coir/coffee tray into fruiting conditions to initiate pinning about an hour ago, but now that i've looked at some photos of fully colonized bulk substrate, i realized that this one could probably use a little more incubation time. i'm planning on fruiting without a casing layer.
should i take it back out of the FC or should i let it be?

any input is much appreciated!

eh.... i dunno, it could use a bit more time.but ive gotten giddy, and fruited with less myc than that, and still had good results.

you need to colonize that more. You should really only see bright white myc...no uncolonized areas of coir. Put that sucker back into colonization conditions. At FULL colonization, then you should put into fruiting conditions. If you leave it out like that, it will most likely contam before you get any fruits.
