How are your lids assembled?
Is the benefit to using plastic only the fact that they don't rust?
what does the squirel cage fun do for your room?
Is that a dorm room? If so I'd be concerned about having the manager's people come in to do work on the house
What are your spawn ratios?
Why do you prefer martha over monotub?
What was your method of inocculation?

snow in winter.
If your mind isn't clouded by unnecessary things,
this is the best season of your life."

seems like you got your shit together. keep us posted i got a feeling were in for a good grow. but why use the flow hood in a sealed room instead of just work right in the stream in front of it like most do? I you want a lab setup they make some nice hanging filter units with hepa's.

you can build a small flow hood for 200 with a changeable filter, simply carry it outside and change it outside then clean off the unit before taking it back inside. The filter aren't that expensive to keep your shit sterile. I just built one last Friday actually. Now i get what your saying though on the using the filters up non stop, but if you look at the threads were alot of TC's are using flow hoods they don't use a sealed room they simply work in the flow. I'm not knocking how you do it, it is working from what i see. So why would you change something that works for you.

I can always take an air sample to work, test it, and determine if i need to replace the filters inside of my flow hood.
How do you test the air?

Ehh, my filter was $200 by itself... so it would be another $200 to replace it.
On the other hand, I don't see being near end of life any time soon, the prefilter gets rid of the big stuff and the HEPA only filters out the micron sized particles. That 99.9999999% filter, from what I have seen does not exist. But the 99.99999% @ 0.1u filters that they do sell (ULPA, not HEPA) are very very expensive to replace, I don't see why you would not protect it with a few prefilters and calibrate the air so that you have proper static pressure.
Testing the air would be pretty tough. Guess you could suck some air through a screen and then check for particles in the screen... seems like a flawed test though.

Being the most unhandy person on earth I could actually have all the things I need to build a flowhood on the carpet of my bedroom floor and would never get it assembled but I give credit to those who can,for me I just have to make due with still air unless I wanted to cough up the 20 billion overpriced bucks it costs to get one already made

I can really give a shit less about what other people are doing.
I am closing off the area for a reason.
In my opinion, the trusted cultivator tag is just more bullshit ego tripping, so please don't come at me with this "TC" bs.
don't fix what isn't broken.
I prefer a good static hood, professionally made/designed, not a flyby night ghetto flowhood.
Talk about an ego Doodle was just offering an opinion. You don't have to be a dick.
