every source i remember reading says that after the veil breaks, the shrooms stop producing the active chemical, so yeah i would say pick them.

Yup, I'll harvest a whole substrate piece(block, tray, cake) when 1/4 of the live mushrooms are dropping spores and open enough for printing. Sometimes by that time then 1/2 will be at the right age to be picked, right when the veil breaks. And then the last 1/4 will be slightly pre-mature, but we like those because they pack a bigger punch by weight.

Blame the size of the fruits by weight on your amount of substrate.
If you had more successful pins you'd have even smaller mushrooms just more of them.
If you had a less successful pinset you'd have larger fruits but less of them.
Likely the same in yield though. If you want to increase weight, size, and quantity... go bulk.

Thank you very much for your help, I will harvest now. Should I dunk again overnight to prepare for the next flush and then roll in dry verm again??
Cheers

Feel free to dunk between flushes, but don't roll in verm anymore.
