Kapster said: Hahaha yeah ; ; These look amazing compared to those tiny ones... although the person I tested them out on tripped hard off of 1.5 grams dry. So after I saw that, those tiny ones weren't so bad anymore
Actually after putting those coffee grounds on my unknown casing the pins that are growing now are super huge and fat.. I'll update that casing tomorrow.
Theres no doubt in my mind that those mini mushies are more potent by weight than their larger counterparts.

Nice!!! You seem to get the hang of it quite fast. Getting better and better.
Did you think about maybe cloning some of those nice cluster of the TC tray? But I guess they are already harvested but with a clone you'd probably get a more even pinset all over the place. But you might even get that on the second flush.
I'll keep watching.
Are you going to try some of your mushrooms eventually or just doing it for your friends?
Anyways nice update... keep them coming.
Peace

So, check this out. You know how your biggest casing was an "unknown strain", it produced a poor 1st flush with very small mushies, and you say you found out it was Treasure Coast?
Here's the description of Treasure Coast from Ralphstersspores.com:
"Lots of aborts always on the first flush. Almost none from there on in. Again, about 50+ dried. Less on other flushes, but much larger mushrooms. I didn't know TC's could get that big. Another nice feature with the Treasure Coasts are that they keep flushing. Great potency too!"
I don't know how much weight I would give this description because I read so much "cube is a cube" stuff, but I would say thats a damn good explanation. But I guess you had other issues too, moisture, humidity...... But good shit, looks nice.

Thanks for the comments guys ^^

I would love to start cloning but I think that's still a little to advanced for me at the moment ;x I've been looking into making LC's with honey or karo syrup and such but I don't have a pressure cooker and I'm not really sure if you can boil LC's in a pot like I do for my cakes. But I'll look up more on it... If it is somewhat easy and I don't need a PC I might try to make some and innoc them into WBSF Cakes with a little bit of coffee grounds added.
Roggen_Rocker: "Are you going to try some of your mushrooms eventually or just doing it for your friends?"
Hehe yes I do plan to eventually take them at some point. I've just been super busy with classes and other things lately and I want to have a day where I'll have alot of time and no worries when I take them. I am a bit I suppose not nervous but wary about taking them too. I'm a really paranoid person and I'm not sure how I would handle seeing random things moving or twisting around or changing different colors lol. But I do want to try them anyway and if it goes bad then it goes bad I guess lol.
Green2whitethumb thanks for posting that! I didn't look up any descriptions for TC when I realized that's what they are. Also I wasn't told that's what they are either, just after doing some research and picture hunting I realized what they were. I was also told the original story about how that spore syringe came to be that I posted wasn't right and there was a miscommunication somewhere. I think we were all just really high lol.

For cloning you dont HAVE to make an LC or an agar, even though it would be better for you. but if your still looking to try some kind of cloning and gettinsg some experience with it and reaping the benfits, next time during one of your flushes, take a tissue sample from one of your best fruits and use that sample to inoculate a jar.
you'll probably see slow results but itll still work nonetheless. just keep it sterile, obviously

Thank you very much for the comments yup I'm pretty happy with my results Unfortunately after trying to experiment with my casings my TC one now has overlay on it in some spots, my first GT tray only has like 5 pins total and they're growing on the sides but that's because I put coffee grounds on top. My second GT casing is just starting to pin again and I'm waiting on my third. I'm pretty sure I'll start my monotub grow tomorrow.
But thank you again for having a look at my grow and thank you so much Shroomery for all the awesome info and tips you all are awesome!

Oh I forgot to add it but I'll just post it here. The total dry weight for the second flush of Treasure Coast was 21.2 grams dry
For my 3rd GT tray I got 4.6 grams dry and from my GT cake so far I have 7.7 grams dry but I still have a couple caps drying so when they're done I'll add them to the total.
