Hi fellow shroomers. First id just like to say thanks to the SHROOMERY and everyone in it would never have made it this far without yous THis is my first ever grow i used BRF for my cakes dunked and rolled then put in FC after 2 weeks i was starting to stress but 17 days in FC we have lift off.
Each pic is close up then same shot just full pic.

I know its just 2 little pins but im sooo Happy
The last pic the pin was growing on bottom off cake, is it best to turn cake over so its on top or just leave it as is.

Looks good man! I am excited for you!
Leave that last cake alone, it'll grow towards the light.

Did you leave the cakes in the jar for at least two weeks after it was 100% fully colonized?

No, one week is the recommended amount of time to wait before birthing.

Consolidation: 1 week and a half to 2 weeks at the most. But you said that it took 17 days, that's odd. Well, you got some pins. Congrads

ok yea make sure the holes are 2inches apart on all six sides.. even the bottom where the perlite sits..
add as much perlite as you can up to 4 inches..
if you do all that & mist & fan properly you should have NO problems.

Cheers on your grow! Great job! Humidity could be an issue if pinning took over 2 weeks, but some species can be picky, especially on the first flush. Try reducing light exposure and dropping the heat down 10 degrees or so if your cakes are picky when pinning. There's lots of solutions when it comes to humidity directly and I suggest the PMP Technique. My favorite: http://www.shroomery.org/9047/Poor-Mans-Pod
Lava rock works much better than perlite or geolite in this case. Perlite tends to shift and collapse a lot, potentially endangering your cakes into falling over. Cover with a lid and bubble. 90%+ humidity all day long.

Good luck on your grow! Just remember, if you're using bubble wands or bubble stones under the perlite and water, the bubbling can cause the perlite to shift and collapse over time. This may cause your cakes to fall over onto the perlite, potentially damaging them or squashing your fruiting cakes fruit bodies. Use lava rock or geolite, or at least something not as flaky and light as perlite.
With the PMP design, perlite will cave in eventually and that's not going to be good for your cakes. Cheers!
