Struggling with fruiting chamber decision...

I'm a first timer trying to decide on the fruiting chamber(s) I will build. I don't have much money to spend. I'm thinkig I'll just go with a simple plastic cooler type box with perlite.
I would like to try a couple methods - simple PF cakes as well as a casing method (possibly bird seed to dung). I read in at least one FAQ or post that while using casing, you need to be able to vary the chamber humidity after pinning begins (in order to encourage fruiting). Any truth to this? Assuming my chambers are the average rectangular tupperware type often posted on thios board, do I need more than one if I wish to attempt both casing and classic PF?
You guys think I'll be happy with a simple box w/perlite type setup?

Here's the deal, when using a casing, you don't need that much humidity because the casing itself does that for you. If you oversaturate casings, you may increase the likely hood of contams.
By the way, birdseed to poo is not a casing method it is a bulk substrate method.

Gotcha on the bulk substrate.
Assume I may use the bird seed/poo bulk substrate method. What's needed in my cooler type set up as far as ensuring proper humidity?
With casing, bulk substrate, or classic PF, do I have to worry about changing the humidity level when pinning starts?

I haven't really gotten that in depth with changing the humidity levels after pinning has started.
If you do decide to go to bulk, you may not even have to worry about a fruiting chamber. If you use a rubbermaid to spawn your poo, you can take the same container and use it as a fruiting chamber by simply giving the poo light (cut a section out of the lid and replace with plexiglass), dropping temp, fanning, and misting the sides of the rubbermaid.
