Mehh.... Naturals have side effects too. To keep a natural mindset isn't always the safest, a common misconception. It doesn't matter whether the substance was synthesized by plant or man in lab coat. What matters is the pharmacology of the substance, neurotoxicity and so on.

For smart people, its whats safe vs what not safe. I guess people that are willing to risk damage to their body its what ever floats their boat.
I'm just saying there are toxic chemicals, both natural and synthetic. So to go by the rule of "natural is better" might end up harming you sometime.

Also some things in nature are there to harm you. Datura probably doesnt get eaten by many animals because of this.

I never said you told him to eat deadly things, im just saying to go with the attitude of "natural is better" is not necessarily always the safest route. You don't need to take offense to it, im not a pharm person. I'm just telling you the truth.

the craziest oobe i had was after being sucked through a portal into myself for some hours on lsd. i seemed to come out the other side, and i was outside of my body as well as inside at the same time, for another some hours. multidimensional awareness/expanded sense of consciousness is trippy.

I like the long drawn out feeling I get with acid during an out of body experience, but also the intense oob of 60-80x salvia and sometimes find that its nice to only have 5-10 min instead of a whole night dedicated to the trip

yeah short and intense oobes like dmt and salvia can't be compared to the long oobe a heavy acid dose can induce. the length of the experiences are no where near in comparison. a complete breakthrough on acid was comparable to a breakthrough on dmt. both are outer fucking worldly, and time... where did that go. but all of that happens so fast, making it harder to integrate that experience into day to day life. the potential length of an oobe on acid is huge. i remember being out of body for 6-8 hours, maybe more. my memory is shot.
but the subtlety of this experience allowed me to learn much from it, as opposed to a dmt blast. the long drawn out feeling of being out of body, and seeing yourself from above, from many angles at once. when this goes on for hours things start to come together from within. it is as though there is an activation that is going on within my being. as though i am merging from a cocoon into a self-transforming psychedelic butterfly. it's like a cross between a dream state and waking state, yet there is a perfect balance between the two of them consistently. it's like a super astral-lucid dream breaking into the waking state and making everything that is imagined look perfectly real. it teaches much about oneself.
dmt and salvia blasts are great, but in my experience they bring more confusion than a clear insight into the matter. not to bash this confusion, i find much value of having my head ripped to shreds and blast off into hyperspace. i could go on for ages about the potential benefits to that.

in my opinion drug OBEs are different from "Real" OBEs.
i would recommend sobriety if you want to have OBEs

ah, i've had plenty sober and nothing approaching it not sober.
my usual argument is one of the characteristics of an OBE is being able to change states of consciousness at will.
for example if i am OBEing and i say to myself "i am not tripping on acid" then i will be then tripping on acid.
if you think you're having an OBE on drugs, try willing yourself sober. if you can then i'll believe it.

so you are saying the OBEs induced by drugs are not real.

i'm saying sober OBEs are one thing, and drug OBEs are another.
my sober OBEs usually allow me alot of self direction.
i've been completely unaware of the physical world from drugs, but it didn't feel like an OBE at all.
