I've long been concerned about my nic being associated with my email, and the fact that you can easily come up with number one results on the shroomery just by searching a username in google. That means anyone can then read all my past post. It would be least beneficial for my boss to become a little curious and search my email name and find this place.
So what i was thinking, was that for security reasons there could be a limit on how far back new members could search. Say 30 days prior to when they registered, so that they have some content to browse at first, and get into the history they aquire. After say, X post and Y days later, they could be granted full access. It would keep the average snooper at bay since they would probably not post or return to a site that offers little snooping content.
I've taken measures like switching my email, but there are a select few that still have my old email.

I don't really understand what the problem is, entering a public e-mail address is optional. You can leave the field blank where is says 'Email address (displayed in profile)', or enter a fake address like you did, and Google won't index your e-mail address. Or am I missing something?

I think he is concerned with his name being indexed with the site, such as searching psychotron on google and it coming up with shroomery related results.

Ditto I don't think my name could be more unsearchable on the web if it were 'Google'

It was just something that i did without thinking about. I actually figured i would never actually post on the shroomery....
I was thinking about changing my name all together, but to what?
