100th post. Well-done, folks.

Here is a review, since you don't think you insulted me.

I said "Don't you wonder why your ideas keep making people think of Hitler?" And as you confirmed many times, I was one of those people who your thoughts made me think of Hitler. To which you replied -

"Only those people incapable of thinking in fundamental principles." And then added "The opinion of anyone who thinks advocating a plan to stop all violence at the source bears any relationship to Hitler's well-documented life (people like me, as I clearly stated prior to this post) of virtually unceasing initiation of violent acts is not worthy of consideration by anyone capable of rational thought."

You did this at 11:52 P.M. on 10/31/02.

As I stated I did not grap your idea of having a machine kill people for being violent you said.

"But anyone who equates my hypothetical "instant impartial violence eliminator" computer system with the mass INITIATION of violence against innocent, helpless, peaceful people instituted by Adolf Hitler has not grasped the fundamental principle being described."

To which I replied -
"Is it, at all, possible that I HAVE read your post, I do understand the fundamental principal of what you are saying...I just do not agree?"

And then you said -

"No..."

You did the above on 11/02/02 02:04 PM.

You also said in the same post - "I said they (people who "could not" grasp your idea to use a machine for Government law and order, like me) were incapable of THINKING in fundamental principles."

When I again said Hitler would agree with ONE of your opinions you said "I'm used to people not being able to grasp the difference between Hitler's worldview and the worldview of the Founding Fathers. I don't get angry with such people (once again people, like me, who disagree that his opinion was Totalitarian), I feel pity they were so poorly educated that they quite honestly are incapable of grasping the difference. I choose to blame that on the shockingly poor state of today's educational system rather than on any inherent defect in their intelligence."

You said this on 11/04/02 03:01 PM.

Then you said on 11/05/02 04:34 PM "I never even said your OPINION was stupid, ignorant". I find that to be rediculous, I wish I could say it nicer but I do find that to just be untrue. However that is just me perhaps some people wouldn't mind having said about their opinions that they were thought of by people "incapable of thinking in fundamental principles" who are "not worthy of consideration by anyone capable of rational thought" as you said at 11:52 P.M. on 10/31/02. Maybe its just me and nobody else but I take exception to those kinds of things. Don't agree with me, thats cool, a lot of people don't agree with me, but saying those things just seems petty to me.

You said you cannot be responsible for how I feel, perhaps not but...
As you once said to me - "Please allow me to offer some advice -- if you accuse everyone you meet who has strongly-held convictions of being a totalitarian dictator, you will have a difficult life. Not all of them will exhibit self restraint."

Let me say to you - If you accuse everyone who doesn't agree with your opinions of being incapable of thinking in fundamental principals and then tell them their opinion is not worthy of consideration, you will have a difficult life. Not all of those people will exhibit self restraint.

I now understand, as you said that you have nothing against me as a person and I am willing to drop this (or at lest take it in private) but I disagree with how you responded to my opinions, and calmy let you know so, without anger or name calling or aynthing of that nature. I did so respectfully, only showing your statements, and injecting as little of my opinion into as possible.

By the way, you still have not told me how telling me to crack open a dictionary to look up a word is anything other than an insult. I would like to clear that up.

Yeah, but isn't Australia the place where babies get eaten by dingoes? If you had a gun, you could shoot the dingoes before they ate the babies.

Or you could just not leave small children unattended in Dingo Area, wouldn't that be an easier solution than arming the population so they could shoot Dingos?

I imagine when babies are stolen like this, it is because of the parents not watching, so if they had a gun, they still would not have seen it, correct?

If they see the Dingo running off with their child, are they to shoot at it? Saffer then just letting it run away, but not very safe to be sure. Once again, wouldn't it just be safer to NOT leave small children unattended in Dingo Area?

you spot a lion 50 metres away.

Very unlikely to happen now. The vast majority of lions have been wiped out by assholes toting guns.

Oooooh!

This was a goodie. I wonder if any of the newer members (ones who joined The Shroomery after the last post in the thread) would care to weigh in on this topic?
