I'm about to go check the depot in a bit, but I'm on east coast, I found one at lowes before.

You gotta go often, it seems around my way the cacti disappear pretty fast.

I just picked one up here in SoCal...theres still some left. I'd like to go get more as soon as I can afford it. :] Most of em are about 2' tall 3"-4" wide, and some have a 2nd in the pot at about a foot.

I've never seen a home depot or lowes carry San Pedro here, but the cacti they do carry are covered in glued on, dyed flowers. Do they do that to the San Pedros too?

IDK, but with Lowe's and Home Depot, I think that cacti distribution is regional. Basically, if the Lowe's in NH has them, that doesn't mean FL will.

Heres a couple pictures of the one I got today. [this guy was inside the garden center and when I went out to the parking lot area they had a bunch more nicer looking ones and ones with 2 in a pot for the same price, but I was already attached and would have felt bad trading him out haha. I'll just have to go back and get him a friend.]
This is my first cacti...do you think I should repot it or anything yet?

If you want large cacti then they need a large root system, i would recommend re-potting.
Remember with Cacti drainage is key.

i think it will be ok for this season and into dormancy in winter, but next year repot that fa sho
that one is from "the cactus collection" right? they sell a lot of tricho grandiflorus at the depot too under that lable. the one be my house has like 20+ all diff sizes. i also suspect they carry T.macrogonus but its mislabled or going on a syn.
GOOD SCORE BTW
in my book $20 is a lil expensive but they're rooter and healthy! and i have noooo impulse controll esp when theres a PEDRO right in front of me. im not going to be like "nah ill just get one online and waite all that time and hopefully it roots before the season is over" FUCK NO I WANT TO GET GROWEN NOW!............not that i dont have a shit ton of other pedros but the cactus bug has sympothy for no man

Actually on the label it says its from a local nursery here in town, so I dont think its from 'the cactus collection'...havent heard of that before but I'm a n00b. :P
As for repotting...I'm not necassarily striving for a large cactus asap. I'm not a fan of the stressing for potency method [because I want a nice healthy happy cactus], however I feel that moderation and mediation would be ideal. I'd think a cactus growing too quickly would not produce ideal results, yet at the same time I dont want to deprave it for my own good. Perhaps a slightly bigger pot and good soil plus lots of love and moderate care would be my best bet.
Its funny, now that I actually have my own trich...although I bought it for a certain purpose, I feel like I'll be less willing to hack away at my new baby haha.
When I brought it home today and explained to my mom [who worked at a nursery] that its too small to do much with, she informed me that they grow somewhat quickly [which I knew] and told me a friend of hers is planning to bring her a similar 10ft that he doesnt know where to go with. *crosses fingers* Could it be a pedro?
