Hey, I've got nothing against charity, but do you really think there are enough charities out there which can cover the whole nation? That would be a lot of people to cover.

What about people who don't have friends or family? Or who's friends and family are unable to help them out? I highly, highly doubt that if we were to stop taxing people, it would mean the difference between charities being able to take care of people, and the way it is now.

I wonder what proportion of disabled people are supported by charity vs supported by pension? I don't think the difference would be made up if taxes were reduced.

Those without friends and family can rely on charitable organizations.
I never suggested not taxing.... just not "taxing the crap" out of people. As long as one is taxed, all should be taxed.
And as I mentioned before..... the disabled are not my problem. While I wish them no ill, neither do I wish to give to those I don't know or care about while the government is involved.
