Whats a good way to take half dried out shrooms??? I HATE the taste, they make me puke every time... i wanna find the easiest way to eat these suckers without feeling the urge to barf because of the putred smell and taste...

Try rolling them into pellets that are small enough to swallow like a pill. If you need to , break/cut them into pieces small enough. Then, at least you woudn't have to taste them.

First off I recommend going to local store and getting some calcium chloride or (damp-rid) or baking off epson salts to make them anyhydrous and use those as a drying agent. The less water in the mushie the less u will taste it. When they are cracker dry they are very yummy and go smoothly with water.

Try dipping them in honey, or chocolate or anything at all. And wash them down with a flavoured drink to get rid of the aftertaste.

i don't get it man....i REALLY love the taste of mushrooms. i mean, even before i ever tried them, i loved mushrooms of any kind.
i mean, all my life, if there is a mushroom contained dish on the menu, i get it. i LOVE the taste of mushrooms. i can't get enough. never will. but oh well, i guess that just means i'm a natural shroomer eh? born to be shroomin', and shroomin' to be (re) born.

My favorite is to put them on a peanut butter sandwich. You can hardly taste the shrooms. Though I agree with others and think you should finish drying them.

The less water in a mushroom the less you'll taste it?
I don't think so. The more dry they are the more rancid they taste, especially when your mouth tries to rehydrate them due to the fact swallowing dry stuff is quite irritating.
Fully dry them, grind them up and put them into gelcaps. How much will you taste them then? Not a single bit, you won't ever have to face that moment when you want to hurl and your trip will start on a much more positive note, plus they don't seem to be very bad on the stomach if you do the gelcap way. Don't worry about it taking a while to absorb either. Gelatin is nothing to stomach acid, won't last two minutes.

I just bought some desicant to dehydrate my 'shrooms but i wanted to know...
Have you reused your Calcium Chloride?
Can I safely bake it at 210C for an hour as I've read you should do with Calcium Sulphate desicants?

step1: obtain a coffee grinder
step 2: obtain some empty geletin capsules
step 3: put mushrooms in grinder and grind till in a fine powder
step 4: pour powder into a bowl, mix with ginger and ginseng
step 5: fill caplets with powder mixture
step 6: take half the caps with a drink, wait 5 minutes, take 1 or 2 more, repeat every 5 minutes untill your caplets are gone (the offsetting slows the come up as powdered mushrroms usually cause a very strong and short come up)

I was wondering about that comment about dry shrooms tasting so bad, because I was going to dry some shrooms I got out a bit more. they were picked wild and dried under a fan for 12 hours I was told and are still pretty soggy. I don't like the taste, so I guess I should just leave them be and eat soggy? Thanks for any info
