Orange contam, plus some dark patches, maybe blue/black??

Hey, I've got what seems to be an orange mould, it's patchy and seems to have spread to 2 other cakes, also seems to be a bluish black mould starting to take a foothold, prob a goo idea to toss,eh seems that the cakes weren't rinsed after soaking, so that maybe where it came in. Also, during colonization, there were yellow thick blotches all over, I just attributed it to metabolites. One jar barely colonized, hard to describe, wish I had taken pics, but I'll try to take some tomorrow.
Any thoughts or insight?

I have the same thing on my cake, but the mycelium in my jar took over it and it's all white. Probably metabolites killing off a bacterial infection, still good to eat as long as it doesn't show signs that it has taken over the entire cake.

Aren't metabolites just mycelium piss? How would they kill bacteria?

By metabolizing the substrate and excreting byproducts(ie metabolites)! Much like humans eat food or drink juice and shit and piss the leftovers. It was a metaphor. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this, I've only been learning about this for a month.

No, 'myc piss,' is incorrect terminology. It's just a nickname that doesn't really make much sense. While it's true that metabolites are waste that the mycelium produces, it is also an antibiotic and a means to help the mycelium digest the food/substrate
The texture of what you have doesn't strike me as being metabolites. Not sure though... close up pic?

I'll try to post a close up shortly, but as for the texture, it's not so much fuzzy, but seems leathery/waxy. My friend tried scraping it off and it wouldn't come off, he also cut into it, and it was white underneath.
Update: Unable to get my camera working, but I noticed with this batch, that when I opened it, it had a smell of stinky feet almost. I read somewhere that that was indicative of conatmination. I gave it a close eye inspection, and the "orange" spots don't seem so much fuzzy, but waxy. Also, there are darker patches, almost looks blue(not quite) but could it be shadows behind the mycelium?? I've turned the temp back up to 30 in an attempt to re colonize and if contaminated, become more obvious. Any thoughts?? I'll give an update tomorrow or the next day and hopefully get my camera working.

I just checked these ones, 1:26 eastern time, and it's really funky, smelly feet so I closed it, I don't want to spread anything, or inhale any more. I think I should toss these??? What would be the most sterile way, spraying it well, with h202 and putting them in a garbage bag, hopefully saturating any spores or would that disturb them more than naything??

The force from spraying it might scatter a lot of spores. Just bag it and seal it. spray the room afterwords probably.
