reishi log
    #1003084 - 10/29/02 01:35 PM (14 years, 11 months ago)

An alder log plugged with dowels last spring;

As usual, unusual.  There are about 4-5 little nubs, and the two big ones;  One looks like a baseball.

These were used to border a garden, on the corner I put a big stump but didn't have any more colonized dowels.  Just to see what would happen I drilled holes shoved birdseed spawn into them, then capped the holes with dirt.  It's nice to test the lowest baseline of effort  :wink: .

Something is taking that stump over :laugh:

Sweet. what region of the country do you dwell in? It was pretty dry here in Indiana and now that it is wet it is cold, too cold I am afraid for my resihi to come up before winter comes. I hope they do, some were from the ralphster. Maybe it will warm up a tad.
