Help!... slow growth,myc. on heads
    #1002413 - 10/29/02 04:59 AM (14 years, 11 months ago)

ok, I got myc. growing on the heads and did some research and read that its caused by humidity being too low. However, the walls of my tank are constantly dripping suggesting i have close too 100 % humidity. was what i read correct? if so, are there any other reasons that this would happen.

oh ya there cambodians. They also seem to be growing rather slow, about an inch of growth every three days or so.

any ideas?

Read PF tek:
http://www.shroomery.org/findorgrowthem.php?View=docs&doc=15

SYMPTOMS OF LOW HUMIDITY
When the humidity is a bit low, but not low enough to stop fruiting, the mushrooms can have fuzzy white mycelium growing on the tops of the caps. When this occurs, the cap looks like it has a crown of white hair. This is not contamination. This white fuzzy mycelium is perfectly good and does not detract from the mushrooms quality.

i found it in the magic mushrooms growers guide under the section "growing cycle"

http://www.theomc.com/index.cfm?fuseAction=teks.mmgg

"If the mushrooms have mycelium growing on the caps, it is an indication that your humidity is too low in the terrarium. In this case, you have just enough humidity to allow the cakes to fruit, but you are right on the edge of failure"
