no it isnt 'overlayed'.
Advice for the future:
don't case bulk. And look into monotubs. You'l find uncased monotubs beyond satisfactory.

Most people don't use a casing layer anymore they are just not needed. But rye should be spawned to a bulk sub like manure or straw, but you don't need a casing layer. A Monotub is simply one tub and it has your grow in it you don't need a fc for this, hit the search button you will find tons of teks.

hello everybody i want to give you a full update about what's going on in my closet. first of all the shrooms are quit big today and i see a fast growth every hour. the casing in the 3 cakes you see is just coco and perlite and verm with calcium carbonate all pc". today i pressure cooked new casing for all the jars of rye. the casing is: 40% vermiculite 40% pH balanced peat moss 10% coco fiber 10% perlite and some calcium until PH is 7-7.5 i also have a new thermostat that keeps the temp exactly like i need by warming a hot bulb under the fc until the temp inside is 76f. by the way it also make more moist inside by evaporating the water of the perlite. and what you see inside the fc that metal thing is the sensor of the thermo. i also have new air pump that pump's air directly to the middle layer of the perlite in the fc. the light is 16\8. stop talking THE PICTURES...
Thank you very very much it is all because of you...

Yea man, harvest the ones whose caps have opened and veils have teared. Nothing will happen if you eat it and spores have already dropped. Well, I mean something will happen, but nothing bad.
Looks great.

Because they will not gain any more potency once the veil is broken. It's best to pick them now because though you'll be eating less by weight, the overall potency relative to weight will be much higher. In other words, if you wait, you'll have to eat more to get the same effects you would if you picked them now.

Looks wonderful man. 20 grams wet would give you a medium trip. If you want to be certain, 30 grams will give you a bit more than a medium trip.
