i think that it just has time release fert...

Ther regular Jiffy Mix dosent.. But im not 100% sure....

Fertilizers are usually high in nitrogen, I may be way off, but I think that nitrogen is not too good for mushroom growth.

Used it for WHAT?

Regular is a peat based ph balanced potting soil. Some use it as a top casing layer.

Plus has time release fertilizer in it. Fertilizer = nutrients. Not good in a surface casing.

organic sources of nitrogen, as in aged horse - cow manure are in fact good in controlled levels in a substrate.
