Is this pan suited for casing?

It's a little over 8" long/wide (its round duh) and 1" deep.

I'll be doing straight verm casing, with 2-3 cakes.

Looks fine, but if it's really only 1" deep then I don't know.
If it's more like 1.5"-2.0" then I would say your fine.

ok I remeasured, its exactly 1.45 inches deep . LOL. I guess it'll do, or should I be aiming more for 2 inches

I say you could get away with a 1 inch substrate layer, and fill the rest with casing, you don't need a bottom layer.
