Mediocrity
    #9974178 - 03/15/09 12:23 AM (15 years, 1 month ago)

I'm so mediocre. I'm not really good at anything, but I don't totally suck at very much either. So I guess its not bad, its not great either though. Its just kinda mediocre, ya know?

Are there other mediocre people on here? Is there anyone who feels they are really good at something? Who here just sucks at life?

You are good at being okay in a lot of things.  That counts for something, eh?

Think of this:

You are only 'mediocre' when comparing yourself to other people that have done w.e it is you want to do rather then focusing on personal achievement. Wouldn't you rather try out a bunch of shit in life instead of getting locked into a single application, and dedicating your life to it to one day become one of the top people in the world that do w.e it is you do? I mean sure it sounds cool and ego-boosting, but what is the point in the end?

Besides, the majority is in this group.

I suppose so. Without the mediocre people there would only be the extremes. If there were only the extremes, then surely nature would select out the ones that suck. Only the incredibly talented would remain, but there would be no comparison. Now the incredibly talented are the mediocre and the extremes are only slightly different. But we would again have to take out the mediocre people and this would just keep going on forever and not really getting anywhere..  :oogle:

I am very good at having a good time and being happy but not all that good at anything that would be considered practical.  But to be honest I'd rather be good at being happy than trying in vain to be good at one thing.

Let's hope that statistic doesn't belong to that 8.4%.

I think everyone evens out. I feel I'm pretty intelligent and in decent shape, but I don't have the best social skills or sense of ambition.
