It doesn't say what material it is made from. I would be worried that the moisture might cause it to rot - it says breathable, but not moisture-resistant or anything like that.

The box says it's ideal for "damp or humid areas" but ya, you could get a few huge sheet of plstic from a hardware store for like 10-20usd, then just staple/tape/ziptie it up

Oh, I didn't see that "damp and humid" part on the box. Still, it says "Ideal for storage in damp and humid areas." Does it mean that the closet keeps moisture and humidity from entering from the outside and ruining your clothes? Or does it mean that the unit itself can withstand damp and humid conditions? Since it sounds like you already purchased it you should at least check it out when it comes and judge for yourself whether or not you think it can withstand high moisture levels. Lining it with plastic is always an option, but when there are plastic greenhouses available, why not just return it and buy one of those instead?

If it is good at keeping humidity out it'll be good at keeping it in . But ya, when there are plastic greenhouses available, might be a good idea to get one instead of semi-make-shifting it if that one doesn't work. Coolmists if I'm correct are for FEA (fresh air exchange) while ultrasonics are for gettin the humidity up to snuff, might want to look at getting both but more importantly an ultrasonic.

Unless it's got some kind of a moisture-wicking lacquer on the outside and not the inside for some reason.
Alright, I'm stretching things now, but you get the picture. Just assess it for yourself when it arrives.
Coolmists supply FAE and humidity. Ultrasonics, I believe, are typically used to supplement the humidity provided by the coolmist which is usually 80-85%. holt, that one can be modified to work in a closet that size and you shouldn't need more than one. I suggest doing more searching and reading about exactly how to implement the coolmist into your setup. I have never used a coolmist so I can't offer any help from experience.
