Synthetic Filter Disk Pressure Cooking Question

I searched the forums and only came up with the fact that you can pressure cook them, but should I wait for them to dry out before inoculating?
Also I read in RR's summary post that using a 10% bleach solution is recommended, but where would that fit into the process?
Bleach them and dry them out, then place them in the pressure cooker as usual after attached to the jars then wait for the filter to dry out and then inoculate under the lid as usual?
Thanks guys,

I soak the filters before use, so that any nasties on them are fully hydrated and will be killed off in the PC. You put down the jar lid with four small gas exchange holes, then the filter disk, and then the jar ring, covering with foil before putting in the pressure cooker.
You don't stick syringes through filter disks. You inoculate by lifting the lid and dropping in an agar wedge, colonized grains, or shooting solution against the glass. Be sure to do this in a glove box or preferably in front of a laminar flow hood. RR

Thanks Roger I've ordered the disks and have yet to work with them, wont they be saturated from the PC? Or will the tin foil hold up in keeping them mostly dry?
I guess my main concern here is having to wait for the disks to dry out. I saw in your post summary thread that if the disks become saturated then they may attract contaminants (its possible you may have been talking about another type of filter though). I'm planning on avoiding an incubator and just having them stored in my walk in closet, I'm just hesitant to set them out if the disks are still wet from the PC.
Sorry if I'm running around in circles here. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

The tin foil over the jar during PC keeps moisture from reaching the disk.

not true.
rr just said you soak them before PCing.
the foil just limits the water entering in order not to change the water content of your jars. the filter disk will be wet after PCing with or without foil.

If I'm removing the foil after pressure cooking as Roger suggests I'm just worried about contams reaching a moist surface.
I really just want to know whether I can remove the foil right after I remove the jars from my Pressure Cooker or not. Or should I leave the foil on until the disk dries?

Perhaps the bleach solution keeps the filter contaminant free while it dries?
Is that what you meant Roger?
