Tripping without music

Is it a waste of a trip? Or can lack of music be a trip in itself? Every trip I have had so far has involved lots of music listening.

Music's a definite plus, but you can still have a fulfilling trip without it.

Tripping without music gets me further than with music. Lack of sensory stimulation in all forms seems to increase the intensity of the trip.

Not a waste of a trip at all. It can be great to listen to music, some music is good for eliciting emotional responses some is just good for making things a lot more trippy. But lack of any sensory stimuli such as tripping in silent darkness can be a much more powerful experience, certainly at higher doses.

Lol it all depends on you.
I've tripped at parties with no music, parties with too much music, in my room without music, outside without music.
I never really fell in love with music until psychedelics.
You should listen to some tunes at some points during the trip, but you don't NEED to be listening to music to have a good trip.
Music + CEVs are awesome.
The way I see it is music sort of guides your feelings. It acts as YOU during a trip, lol.
Scary songs invoke scary thoughts which usually lead to bad trips.

haha I hear.
Listening to Panda Bear on lsd blew my mind. it's amazing to listen to multi layered chilled psychedelic type music and you can see energy emerging because of the songs and energy vibrating to the beat I t is possible that for my upcoming shrooms trip I wont get a chance to listen to music because I wont be with music obsessives like me, though when I smoke weed after the trip I'll be back on my own to listen to music and judging from when I took lsd- smoking weed after a shroom trip will probably be amazing

Not in my experience, the first time I did shrooms I listened to Locust Abortion Technician by the Butthole Surfers which is like a bad trip in album form, and I loved it.

Hence "usually."
I've listened to some scary shit tripping, and I loved it.
Other times I get scared.

agreed. On mushrooms I don't like to listen to music at all. Ive heard people who have only taken mushrooms. say "dude you have to listen to music on mushrooms." I think it sounds better sober. on mushrooms music doesn't feel necessary. it has no impact on my trip. I only like listening to music when tripping on acid ,mdma, dxm, and sometimes K. maby those drugs set the bar high IDk.

when I listen to music on DXM it feels like every note is grating against my eardrums.
which can be a good or bad thing.

this isn't scary but I love radioheads albums- kid a and amnesiac when on lsd, their music can be morbid but it seems to go could with psychedelics, a lot of depth I guess

Agree with this 100%. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love jammin' on psychs. But sitting in complete silence on a mid to high dose...shit is freaking intense, man.

Anyone else think Zeppelin is fucking godly on psychedelics? Like... they are so fucking intensely amazing that it blows my mind.
Also Hendrix. And Pink Floyd. Fucking EPIC trips listening to that shit. Never gets old, ESPECIALLY when on a psychedelic.

yea agreed. too many people are stick in that era, not saying there's anything wrong with that music, we all have different opinions. But there are many bands around now that are amazing for psychedelic mind state's.
