Got live 7.0.3, I'm loving it.
I had Ableton 6 but i got 7 the other day and I've been going through the built in lessons and it's opening so many possibility's for creating music.
The effects and synths are amazing, the work-flow is so cool, it's like an instrument,.
Good for recording any type of music that i like.
There's so many cool things you can do with it, automation is so easy. As soon as you come up with a guitar riff you can record it straight away, and start adding beats and more song sections.
Anyone else lovin' Live?

Yup, just started using it this year and I love it. I been recording sets into it, which isn't the best program to do so, but it still works. I'm slowly getting into making electronic songs and I just got it hooked up to my MIDI keyboard. Super fun!
If you know of any really good resources share em

I've got mixed feelings about programs like Live. It almost makes things too easy, and what are you going to do if you're performing for an audience?
Granted, the synths and effects are righteous. But I mean, all these things like Ableton, Kaoss pads, Electribes... I guess it's just not my thing. It feels like I'm remixing someone elses work.

It isn't just DJs that use Ableton when they perform. All sorts of musicians do. Lots of IDM guys. But regardless, it still feels kinda like cheating to me when I use fancy programs like that to record. I guess it depends on what kind of music you're creating.
Carry on!

yeah, I have turntables hooked up through it and mix sets on vinyl instead of mixing them with abelton. I want to be able to mix in and out of songs on ableton and vinyl (or tracktor or something).
I also just bought this lovely lady:
who will hook into abelton. I think she'll be here tomorrow and take everything to a whole new level.
