So im walking to class and people have the ash on their forhead. I understand the point of it and all, but they look like fucking idiots! It immediatly deters me from talking to you....cuz you have ash on your forehead....kinda awkward!

you obviously have not accepted jesus christ! this is the first year I havent gotten that dumb shit cause im out of catholic school. 12 years of catholic school and its showed me that people are as confused as ever about our universe. S confused the put ashes on their heads... it's sad.

HAHA yeah I went through ash Wednesday for 12 years of school. Only good thing about that day was we got out of class early.

Man you guys and your catholic schools, if i was high as fuck in class at a catholic school i would be paranoid as fuck. The ole public school was where i went. I could go high on weed, and pop roxies in class and never worried about getting caught. My junior year of high school in mid april my teacher said in front of the class "Cognitive_Shift your day is coming up!" It was kinda embarrassing being called a stoner in front of everyone, and assigned me to memorize a poem on 4/20 on purpose!

I don't mind if someone believes in God. I just think it's a joke that someone's belief in God would cause them to act like a fool. I'm pretty sure if God exists he finds this tradition rather comical.

belief in god to me is unreasonable. Ask them if they ever spoke to God. If they have recommend medication. Agnosticism's where it's at, belief in things you cant see is rediculous. Defend the God people jailed Galileo for and laughed at Copernicus about his heliocentric universe its ok we wont judge you. I went through catholic school 12 years and lemme tell ya: IT'S RETARDED. I'm glad I went to a catholic school though because in my city the public schools are like day care for teens. At least I actually learned shit and got told funny magic stories for 12 years about jesus christ. You might as well pray to hair dryes: they make noises back.

The best thing that ever happened to me (religiously) was growing up in a town full of jews. Once you question your own religion, you question them all. You realize how silly all these traditions are. I'm not saying God doesn't exist, he might. But like PrepH said it's stupid to believe in something that can't be shown to you.
Believe in God all you want, but these traditions and books full of fairy tales really are cult-like behavior.
