Yes, it would. I'm working on getting my camera to stop shitting itself. It's not quite up-to-date with this godforsaken operating system.

In the meantime, here is a picture I found on the internet that resembles exactly what the gills look like.

Could someone please ID? It has a bitter taste. I'm really thinking it's a gym, but I am not sure. Are there are poisonous gym look-alikes?

looks like gym gills and stripe, not enough info,
gyms grow from decaying wood, and often are in clumps when fruiting from the earth (buried wood).

a spore print, a pic of the cap and base or foot of the mushroom is needed

appears as tho you have maggots witch means it may be to late for a print.

"In the meantime, here is a picture I found on the internet that resembles exactly what the gills look like."

no no, there is no way an identification can be made based on this.

Deadly Galerina - Galerina autumnalis

Habitat:

+Growth on wood, often in clusters;
+ Rusty brown spore print (see bottom illustration);
+ Relatively small size;
+ A thin ring or ring zone, which may disappear;
+ Brown to tawny cap that may fade in age.

Other Information

Spore Print: Rusty Brown.

Saprobic on the rotting wood of fallen hardwoods and conifers; growing gregariously, or in clusters (rarely alone); widely distributed; most frequent in fall, but often encountered in spring--and not infrequently found in summer and winter.

That's one of the lethal look-a-likes I've come across.
Another could possibly be.

I seem to remember quite a few people, Allen Included, saying that tasting, even a deadly mushroom, as long as you don't consume, and it is just that, a taste, is harmless, and a good way to learn about the mushroom...
