Canning Jars

I obtain mine in boxes of 12 for around $11(!!!). Wal-mart was the only place that has em and the only type that they have are jars with some weird diamond pattern on the outside. Where do YOU get your jars and how much $???

I get mine at wallmart. for about $6 a 12 pack (1/2 pint) and without the diamond pattern. Try looking harder in the wall mart near me i found 3 different kinds of jars in 3 different places so they might not be all in the same place.

Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, King Soopers, Safeway, Albertsons, Cub Foods all have them. Lowest I've paid was around $4 for 12 (1 or 1/2 pint) at Wal-Mart.

What section??? I get mine from the housewares section with the pressure canners... Also... do the ones that u use have regular lids or cap and band lids???

Wally world, about $6 a dozen, I think you got the jelly jars. I get Bell (i think, can't remember right now, its either bell or ball), they have the two piece lids.

Wal Marts...at least those in my area...seem to be getting rid of canning jars this time of year. I went to about 10 of them recently looking for canning jars to no avail. Grocery stores have 'em but I've had a hard time coming up with half pint tapered wide mouth jars. I ended up using jelly jars (the kind with the diamond pattern) from a large grocery store.
