Yesterday after several months of anticipation, I finally took a tab(twenty dollars) at twelve at night. I was watching 2001 and 30 mintutes later it started to kick in. What followed was 6 hours of ball like visuals and strange patterns on walls. I couldnt even stand up and I ended up spending the whole trip uncomfrotable, confused and annoyed. Now I obviously took good acid and I kinda enjoyed it but I was just too confused. Now Im supposed to get two tabs for tonight and Im planning on taking them at sunset tommorow but Im really hoping Ill actually enjoy it this time. What went wrong? Does acid always make you feel semi-delirious? Is it normal to talk like "pa-sss m-eee ddd-a cccccc-ddddd ma-nnn!"? What can I do to be more lucid next time?

Maybe the problem is your preconceived notions of tripping. Eating psychedelics never was meant to be "cool".

hold on for a while. you're putting the burden of proof on the substance. you'll either be disappointed (bored, annoyed) or overwhelmed (splatterbrained).
if you want lucidity, do something else. HYPER-lucidity is possible, but nothing to count on.

Also I would like to say 20 dollars for one tab of acid is such an insult...
Try to let go of thoughts if they aren't going in the right direction, try being outside, try listening to music you like.

Yeah, I've always thought that immersive environments/experiences dull dampen and cheapen.

Are you sure it was LSD? What did the paper taste like? How long did it last for?
Also I wouldn't recommend taking another dose for at least three days due to tolerance.

Hi,
Sorry that you had a rough first trip. I turned 60 this year and I suppose I've tripped 150 times over the years on various substances. I'd say your first mistake was doing it alone. Having an experienced "guide" could have made your trip more tolerable and enjoyable. It's not for the faint of heart and also I somewhat reject psychedelic use that's totally hedonic. There's a spiritual element that can be tapped into with the right attitude. I've been through stressful jaw-clenching trips as well as very relaxing and insightful ones.
If you decide to try it again, prepare a little more. Fast and meditate and approach it with repect.
Far as the anger you experienced. That's something within you. I've never experienced anger in any of my trips. Psychedelics can teach us the right way to live...if we listen. I'd re-consider repeating the experience, since with no changes...you'll be risking the negativity you experienced. Tripping isn't for everybody. Goog luck.

You make a lot of assumptions that you present as fact. That you obviously took acid, and that tripping isn't "cool." Yes acid makes you delirious, it makes you clinically psychotic. Psychedelics aren't for everyone.

It could have been because it was your first psychedelic experiance and thats why u were uncomfortable. My first psychedelic experiance was with 2c-e and it was god awful...horribly body load and alot of vomitting. At first i thought that it was all the drug causing that, but now when i dose 2c-e i only vomit once if that and i just feel kinda speedy but i trip and enjoy it. I found out that the reason my first experiance wasnt that pleasent because i wasnt comfortable mentally with the experiance which lead to the body symptom...so like i would say 75% of my symptoms were psychosomatic.
Psychedelics arents just cools looking visuals and giggling bro...ya gotta be ready for the headfuck...if you just want shit to look at thats pretty and feels cool...try 2c-b.

What RC? he had a half hour onset...im sorry but if it was blotter with a half hour onset it was probably lucy...the DOx chems that can be put on blotter take forever to come-on...some of the 2c's have shorter onsets but their dose are in the double digit mg's which is much more than can fit on a blotter. Lsd makes me delirious...infact i call my lsd experiances "divine delirium"

My first trip was amazing. I only had half a tab though so maybe it was easier to go with.

What i think first trippers dont realize ( i know i sure as hell didnt ) is set and setting. Do it somewhere you are completely comfortable and do it when you are completely comfortable with yourself...I think that kind of comes with experiance though.

Hey Guys...
Here's something to consider. I've been too stoned to stand up on ganja and alcohol, but never on psychedelics. I've taken lsd and shrooms plus some stuff that was supposedly mescaline. I was always able to be very physical... standing walking swimming and even running.
So this is support for the argument that whatever you took was not LSD.
Have no idea what it could be, but doesn't sound very user friendly.
I'd not use those additional two tabs you bought.

I've had experiences on mushrooms and ayahuasca wherein the sensations were so overwhelming that I was unable to move.
Effects vary greatly from person to person when it comes to psychedelics, so while you might be able to move on LSD, the fact that the original poster was unable to doesn't really indicate that what he took was not LSD.
