I am impressed with WBS

I switched to WBS from organic rye and I have been happy with the results.  Where as the fastest I can get a straw log to colonize with rye is 8 days I am getting full colonization with WBS in under 6 at 70-75f.  Grain to grain transfers are incredibly fast.  If I could find large bags of millet/milo only without all the rifraf that would be even better.

Evolution is Lamarckism in disguise.  Adaptation never creates a new species or trait, but rather the new species/trait always existed within the parent DNA until circumstances allowed it to be activated.  For instance, every wolf has the DNA for poodles, but that DNA would never be revealed without man selectively breeding for it.

I used to hate wbs but i gotta say its given me some of the biggest shrooms of anything.  Spawn wbs to WET verm at 1:1 or 1:2 its just dandy.

I don't pick out any of the other crap in the bird seed, including the sunflower seeds and I haven't had any problems. But if you really want a mix of primarily millet/milo, look for finch seed. It's way more pricey per pound, but has virtually zero sunflower seeds or other crap in it. The health food store millet is hulled. You don't want the hulled stuff. It'll turn into pasty sludge.
