Casing, once contamed, substrate...

Just wondering if it would be wise to case with cocoa coir... a spawned substrate that at one point had a contamination, but was put under check?

I err on the side of caution and ditch contaminated substrates.

I agree with mickey, the last thing you want to end up doing is ingesting some bad mold spores.

Cobweb mold... very small infestation.

I understand the risks, and I'm choosing to take this one... Call me a moron or a hero, I still plan on fruiting this!

Can any one answer my question?

I think we did answer your question. To put it simpler, it would not be wise. It may still fruit, but why risk it?

Cobweb mold isn't supposed to be harmfull to humans. I say isolate it from any other casings/cakes/anything and go ahead and case it. Just make sure none of the shrooms are rotting. If the contam comes back you should probably trash it though.

I say case it. If mushrooms inherited contams from the mycelium dont you think that all of those anti drug associations would be giving you statistics on how many people dided from digesting shrooms?
