Advice on manuer mush please...
    #962531 - 10/15/02 08:15 AM (21 years, 5 months ago)

hello shroomers, i need some quick advice from you peoples. I'm from MA and i have traveled all over, and been to quite a few pastures and i've even stumbled apon a horse/cow manuer compost that was 30 feet wide, and 4 feet tall. It was covered in mushrooms which at first looked like cyan's and i almost shit myself, but of course they ended up being Panaeolus antillarum

i also found LBM's growing in the manuer and grabbed a few, they looked similiar to azurs, but that couldn't be possible so i didn't grab any until i thought they'd mature more.  :frown:

i was wondering if cyans could not stain blue? or they could mix with antillarums?

Or when is the best time i could find  Pan subs growing in compost/manuer. Any help or comments on what i could find/expect to see this time of the year, and the weeks to come.. i've read up alot on all species around here, but i wanted to know if maybe anyone heard of anything comin up here, or what part of the season is fruitful to Pan Subs (is it too cold now)

thanks very much, any advice is greatly appreciated. keep      r

No. It's not a Cyan, they're not found north of Macon georgia, They like very warm humid weather.
