Ive been wanting to check out at least one good festival somewhere in the U.S. this year. Somewhere I can trip and hear some awesome music. Went to Vegoose a couple years ago that was pretty awesome. Just tryin to get some of your favs and suggestions. Im generally into more rockin'/psychedelic shit, but love many different kind of musics.

I've only ever been to Lollapalooza, Hell Fest (which isn't around anymore), and the Newport Jazz Fest. Newport is pretty good, and I really enjoy Lolla because to me they often have good lineups, but I know a lot of people who are into the whole festival scene don't dig it too much.
I wanna try and get to Pitchfork and Rothbury this year, and MAYBE Lolla again, depending on the lineup.

Rothbury was the shit last year, Definitely check that out this year... I hear they finally got the permit approved to do it again this summer
Also check out Summercamp, its a lot smaller that Rothbury or Lolla but its an awesome time and cheaper too

I like Bonnaroo. the first year i went, i dug the scene, but now its really amusing to trip face and watch the worst of cramped society deal with itself in such an obtuse and disgusting manner. the best people watching is at bonnaroo.

The only ones I've been to are Vegoose, Lollapalooza, and Ozzfest. Lollapalooza was probably my favorite, but apparently it's no longer a tour(they just have it in Chicago now). Vegoose was awesome too. Ozzfest I've been to several times, and it's been cooler some years than others(probably my favorite time was when I saw Slayer there). I'd really like to make it to Bonnaroo one of these years.

I'm into all types of music ie. electric, metal, world etc.
My best reccomendations for electronic would be Electric Daisy Carnival in Los Angeles june 26 and 27 this year. Or anything that Insomniac Events puts on.
Their large events are great to trip at.
