I cant find 1/2 pint wide mouth jars ANYWHERE!!!!
Is it really going to hurt to use Ball 1/2 pint regular mouth jars?
I went ahead and bought some 1 pint wide mouth jars. Is it inadvisable to use PF tek with full pint jars if you scale everything?

You can use the regular 1/2 pints, i've used them before, i've also used the wide mouth pint jars. As long as you scale everything up to size you'll be fine like you said, with the pint jars you'll get bigger and more fruits though... not necesarrily a bad thing.

You can always use plastic too. Only one store carries jars near me and their selection/whats in stock is spotty at best.

When i first started cultivating it was always hard for me to find supplies around my urban area, then after doing it a few years i realize i shouldve had no trouble in the first place. Now that i know what all the supplies are i see them everywhere, it seems like everytime i go to a grocery store or large chain suppliers like target/lowes/walmart etc i see things i need all over the place. I cant even go to any grocery store without seeing ball/kerr jars and WBS now a days, its out there, you just gotta look for it.

I agree with large dose. Also, so many things are substitutable. I have already used a dozen different grain substrates and a half dozen bulk subs with great success. As far as containers, Basically anything that can withstand heat and keep out contaminates while allowing GE can be used. I have used all sizes of rubbermaid containers and decorative glass jars. Pint's are not the best idea for cakes, as they have a tendency to stall if the parameters are not right on and being new you might have a little trouble.

You can find canning jars at albertsons near the fire logs, I've seen them at 2 different albertsons, try to stay away from the regular mouth jars cuz it's near impossible to get the cakes out, nothing more frustrating than destroying a cake that won't come out of a reg mouth jar. I agree with plastic it works fine even a drinking glass with foil on the top works good too!!!
