Chopped up mushrooms in cheese burger?

I've never tried it and I was just curious as to the possibility.
Can dried mushrooms be chopped up and put into ground beef patties and grilled on the grill without destroying the psilocybin?
Thanks

psilocybin breaks down under high heat, I mean it can tolerate some high temps for a period of time, like simmering.. but I doubt it would stand up to being grilled at the temps and time it takes to grill a burger.. I could be wrong though.

It would probably depend on how rare you like your burger. I imagine if you do more of a stuffing the mushrooms into the middle then searing it so you get more of a medium rare to rare burger you'd be fine. You might yak from undercooking the meat though.

psilocyn will break down at lower temps then that of psilocybin.

I totally forgot about the cheese burger experiment.... To all you nay-sayers, my girlfriend and I experienced a very nice trip. Each burger contained about 3/4th of ground sirloin, about 1.5g of fine chopped up cubensis. I added a small amount of oil olive to it (I do this with all my burgers, makes them SUPER tender and moist). Threw them on the girl to a nice Mid Rare since I didn't want to risk damaging the cubensis too much. Apply cheese, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, and I gotta tell you ladies and gentlemen... It was delicious.
But after reading some of the prior posts I had my doubts but I didn't want to tell her because she was really excited about it. Sat outside on the screened in patio (we live in FL so it was nice out). After we finished our meal we decided to sit and talk for a little bit then BAM. The iris' in her eyes just about vanished and her pupils the size of the moon. I followed shortly after.
Bottom Line: If you do it right, I say GO FOR IT!!

I checked out Kellers huge book on Sous Vide cooking. Cool read, Ive considered trying to make my own cooker as its a pretty basic control system really.

It was Yummy =)
tried another round with seom friends over the weekend. I only cooked them to a mid rare, which works out because thats how i liked my burger.
But another success.
Not saying just taking them isn't as good, but this way is alot more fun. I dont trip well on an empty stomach. But i've heard overs that can't trip on a full stomach.
Just know your body, I guess?

I've cooked them on the BBQ grill outside with negligible loss, and that's at close to 1000F. The idea that the stuff breaks down at high temperatures is incorrect unless you factor in a long time at those temps. Certainly boiling or grilling, while it may slightly degrade, doesn't destroy by any means. RR

When you think about it, as long as you put the shrooms towards the center of your burger, they aren't going to reach more than about 150 degree F for medium-medium well. You probably destroy more actives making tea...

Did it again.. You guys got to try this shit.
1lb burger mixed in 4g of chopped cubes, mixed it in the meat. (There was no noticeable potency loss) or if your even iffy about that, throw the chopped up cubes right on top of the meat when it's just about done and throw your cheese on top.
That's how my girlfriend prefers them, But I like to taste chunks of them through-out the hardy meal.
