A whole bunch of shit went down with my public defender and my case got moved to a new guy, so i'm on house arrest for at least another month. At least I got rid of a retard who can't defend himself with a gun against an army rats. I was pissed at first. Don't really care. Don't really expect much out of the court system anymore This will be going on month 4 of hellish torture. I keep telling myself jail would be better since I'd have people to talk to day and night How's everybody else doing?

...I've never been in trouble. But, I know people who have, and when you get out of jail, you get a bill, for everyday your in there. It can get hella expensive.

I never had to pay to be in jail, they do have special jail services that are outside of jail........were you can leave to go to work and wear civi clothes....that you have to pay for.
You are lucky, you have a comp and you can smoke cigs if you do and eat your own food......not sure how you get food to the house or pay rent (if you don't own, or other bills)......but you can talk to people here.
Do you have a no contact order for specific people or was this just something you thought wouldn't be a good idea?
Four months, that is a long time; hope you can put your head out the window and get fresh air........I would need exercise, a nice walk.
Sorry about the small town, mine isn't so small but it feels that way when shit hits the paper....people remember the things that I used to be involved in (not that they liked me then, there kids were "perfect" and I was a brat........being abused at home but they don't actually care about victims of crime they just say so for PC)
hope court goes well, ya it does suck it is their little moral playtime.

I never had to pay to be in jail either, I only spent 15 days in it though. Yeah, that's true. I just get bored so easily anymore. Losing interest in everything. As far as the contact go's - Court ordered not to see 2 of my very good friends, because "they supposedly gets me drugs". It was that or sit in jail. Silly recog bonds. I do need to exercise I've gained 14 lbs since being off the smack. My town = 2500 people, 8 churches, 3 bars.

I read an article (might have even been posted in the News section) about a guy who was wrongly imprisoned, and when they finally proved it and let him go they billed him for taking up space. I think their logic was along the lines of "He wasn't supposed to be here, so he has to pay." Like rent or something.

Your town sucks. You should move to a bigger city. I don't know what you were arrested for, but it sounds like they're bringing the book down on you, especially since they restricted you from visiting with friends. I suggest once your time is up you bail to a new place for a fresh start and spend the next month planning it...but that's what I would do.

Negative. I don't really have much of anything to do. Just sit around and listen to music and write dark poetry. Haha, kidding about the dark poetry. I get by with a little help from my friend I plan on moving for sure. Asap actually. I can't even get a job, this is ridiculous. I asked my PO and he's like did it say you could get one on your bond conditions?.... no

Do you have an attorney? You can stipulate and argue that you need a job as lack of income is threatening your livelihood and request a work release. Your PO isn't going to fight for you, so you'll have to seek counsel or request a public defender (not ideal).
You might just be imposed restrictions due to the severity of your sentence, and might have to just deal with it and chill until it's done.

I have a public defender. Had one that spaced out for 5 minutes on me while the judge was talking and the judge had to spend another 5 minutes talking to him, fired his ass. Got a new one today. Gotta call him and urge him to help me out. I go back to court in February. I need a job, and I need to get out and be social. I'm not exactly being a model citizen if I don't have friends or a job.

Ya PO's are funny like that, usually you can work unless the court says otherwise but you are obviously not able to work on house arrest.
Maybe when you are off house arrest and just on probation, then work.
How did you get smack in a small town like that? Goofy.

I live a halfhour away from rockford, and 2 hours from chicago.
So it's not a big deal getting it. No one sells it around here, unless they're lookin to rip someone off. But i know if someone real came around, they'd have a good 5-10 customers from the getgo
