Yes, but it was only exposed for a few seconds in a sterile environment.

It should be fine

Its 100 percent recycled cardboard packing. It is thicker than cardboard bags but thinner than standard cardboard
There were some blue spots on the cardboard the Myc went to first.

I added a teaspoon of spent coffee grounds on the top and it looks like it made its way to the bottom.

Nice experiment. I have been thinking of doing something similar, but with newspaper and coffee.

I have collected a whole big bag of shredded up paper that's been used as packaging material in my online orders for lab equipment. In the past I used to drop it into the paper recycling bin. But recently I have started to save it. I was planning to do something similar. I think I'll noc up a few cakes from a tissue clone LC I have going.
What do you think? Add some verm or go as is?

One thing I did do that might have helped was soak the card board in h202 and then rinsed with tap water before I spawned to it.

That's probably the only thing that could have worked.

I've done this same thing by bleaching (very dilute) a 5 gallon full of cardboard overnight.  Then, drain, rinse, drain, rinse (let it soak for a few minutes in between each draining) with fresh tap water.  Layer it back into a 5 gallon bucket with grain spawn.  I did this with oysters and had great success.  Beautiful flushes, etc.  I don't know how well cubensis will fruit from cardboard, but it will be interesting to see.

BTW, I don't typically use bleach for environmental and health reasons, but I wanted to give it a shot once.  It definitely does work.  I've still got the carboard block outside.  When spring comes, I'll bury it and see what happens.
