8psi? How? Aren't normal ones 5 10 and 15. That is different. I have never heard of that. Let me know what you do, keep me posted on how it turns out. And do you have a camera? Take a picture of that pot. I am intrigued.

It is a presto one I picked up from walmart, I'm pretty sure it was 8 psi. http://www.gopresto.com/products/products.php?stock=01264 Here is what it looks like. Well I'm hoping to noc up 5 or 6 pint jars or 10 1/2 pints if I can get some before my spores come in, and still have 1cc left for making some liquid culture.
Last time I did not use the tape to block the noc holes, as I went by the original pf tek method. Some hopefully I will have more luck this time.

I only have pint jars and no one around my area has the 1/2pints or any jars at this time of year for that matter.
So my question is what would be the best mixture of verm, brf, and water?
And should I fill the jars up to the top or just do a half pint mixture?

4 cups = 2 pints

Use a ratio as said above of 2,1,1 and fill the jars to 3/4" from the top and then fill them the rest of the way with dry verm. Don't ask exactly how much you'll need, just wing it and fill as directed. If you have some left over, fine. If you need more, just mix it up. You should still look for 1/2 pint jars.
With pints, if you change anything, make it a tad drier than recommended. Some water is going to settle to the bottom by gravity, so you want to keep that to a minimum. RR

Let them cool all the way. I wouldn't see a reason not to let them cool. If you shoot up too hot you will not have optimum results.
How much, how much you got to spare?
Say, I know this guy from the forums, he has these really nifty videos that tell you almost anything you would want to know. It would answer most of your questions before you even know to ask them.
Well worth the money!

Yea definitely let it cool off 1st, and let it cool all by itself naturally. If you cool them quickly by other means, there's an increased risk of contamination. And if they're too hot when you knock em, you run the risk of damaging/killing your spores.
Taking shortcuts is discouraged, and increases your chances of failure.

Some places sell broke ass 8 psi PCs. Either the metal on the actual PC is too thin to go much higher (this would place it in a lower price range) or they just give you a 8 PSI weight...I'm thinking it's the earlier of the two situations. I'd be shocked if those 8 PSI units could handle a 10 PSI weight on top.
