question about dunking for the second flush

So, my first flush is coming to an end and i know i have to dunk my cakes for flush 2. for 12 hours, do i have to re-roll them in vermiculite?

I scrape off the old vermiculite, but not too hard that you damage the mycelium terribly bad. Just the stuff that is easy to come off, and is exposed to the elements...Or you can just wash it off real well, dunk it, and then wash it again...And then roll in dry verm.

In my opinion those are your two options.
