 Blindfolds while tripping

For me, a blindfold is standard equipment when tripping. It seems to help me focus inwards to the point of getting lost in myself. There is only one problem, taking it off.
While Ive tripped a lot, I don't think I will ever get used to taking off a blindfold while tripping. The intensity is simply too shocking. Ive tried keeping it dark. Ive tried to take it off slowly.
Am I the only one who has this problem? Sometimes, deep in thought and under the influence, I realize I am in my home with a blindfold on and have to pee.

Can you not trip and just not use a blindfold? I love exploring nature the most when I trip. Obviously can't do that with a blindfold. I think I'd be too scared to be blind the whole time.

I don't use a blind fold but I do keep my eyes closed for the whole trip, other than going to the bathroom and getting water. I'd suggest tripping at night with all your lights off or just hanging out in the bathroom for your trip.

I use a blindfold as well most of the time. It makes the trip more "personal" and I can dig deeper into my own conscious without influence from the outside world. Different strokes for different folks though--some people don't like it.

Everytime I enter the bathroom It's liek a different world - I wouldn't say its bad though... I wouldn't like to "chill" in there but not cuz its scary, just because Id rathre be somewhere else.
Oh and the tiles. On mushrooms, the tiles become reflective, and I can see the bathroom reflecting in the tiles. (Which normally doesn't happen, as they're matte)

What is the mindscape?
I tend to spend a lot of time with eyes closed if the occasional allows for it, on most of my trips. Have lately been considering doing the blindfold thing as it seems like something I would enjoy...

Try dosing and keeping your eyes closed instead of using a blindfold. That way you can slowly open your eyes when necessary, and close them just as quickly. This will help you getting used to tripping without the blindfold. Familiarity breeds dependence.

i agree with this and not to be gross but i really hate pooping while i am tripping hardcore, the smell and being stuck in that tiny room and just the feces itself all seems so dirty

Yeah man...closing your eyes doesnt require a tool. I can see why the blindfold might be useful for the weak of heart though. I know a lot of cats who find the CEV's too intense. With a blindfold its past dipping your toe into the pool (shutting your eyes temporarily), its jumping right in.

When I was tripping at the bear creek festival I was wearing an american flag bandana. I had the great idea to pull it over my eyes while dancing to the funk music...
fucking sick dude! It was truly an experience of music!
I'm definitely going to blindfold myself again on the next trip.

First time I really felt acid was kicking in was in my bathroom... my WC was fuckin breathing. Good times! 
I wish I had some now. 
I'd like to try those kind of 3d virtual glasses someday, but a blindfold sounds also good for tripping alone. Weird that taking it off in a dark place doesn't work!

Ya, but when your eyes are closed for a long time, you can see fairly clearly even in a very dark room. Add to that all the extra light getting into your eyes when your pupils are dilated.

That is usually how I start out. A little light shining through the eye lids helps to start to seed CEVs. But to really get lost in it, I need to use a blindfold.
I think part of the problem is getting lost in the visuals itself. It is kind of a shock in itself to realize that I am just a human sitting in the dark, in a chair, with a blindfold on.
As for all this bathroom talk; I consider the bathroom my "safe room" for some reason. I try to only go in the bathroom when I need to piss or I start feeling the fear creep up on me.
