I have heard that term in relation to the Growth Parameters of the mushrooms, but I can say personally that each strain can and does carry its own trip.

Yes.  Potency will vary from grow to grow, and even fruit to fruit w/ multispore.  The only way to get shrooms that are certified potent all the time, you're gonna have to isolate yourself.

yes. they are small variations in potency but growing from multispore your results can vary. cambodian and penis envy seem to be consistently higher in potency.

Everyone has a strain that they claim to be super potent. Fact of the matter is, the results are all subjective and opinionated.

Isolate yourself from what, or who (or is it whom?)?

You're gonna have to isolate the strain yourself using petri dishes and agar.  An easier way would be to just clone a good potent fruit - but to really nail it, you'd have to get it on agar, see how many sectors there are, and test out each sector w/ a small grow to see what sectors are responsible for what.  When you find the sector responsible for the potency - there you go, there's your isolate.

and make that sector into an lc so you can start more grows with that potency.

"a cube is a cube" is basically the growth parameters - all strains grow the same.  And if you tested for actives, I'm pretty sure they'd all be very similar.

But if you talk to ppl who have eaten different strains, most will have different opinions on different strains.  For example, 1 may be more of a "mind fuck", 1 may be more mellow, 1 may be more visual, etc.. But then again someone else may have a different description.

Whether or not this is all personal opinion - well that's for you to decide.

I grew Puerto ricans and they were like speed. Then i grew some koh samui and them sum bitches would make you cry.A cube may grow like a cube, but different strains won't trip you the same.

I disagree. Mindset has a huge part in what direction your trip takes. Potency is ginetic.

I have tried several different strains, even the ones that claim to be very potent. I didnt notice any difference in potency between b+ golden teach, koh samia, lipa yia, same with type of trip. Same for visuals and mindfuck etc.

Its all in your mind.

I dunno Veda. alot of ppl, TC's even - have said how some strains have a different kind of trip.  Psilocin/Psilocybin aren't the only actives, and there could be other factors responsible.  Plus different strains come from all around the world, so even though they're the same species, there's definitely some variations in what exactly is in them.

There's definitely some degree of personal opinion going into it - but I think there are some differences.

Ever notice how different strains of weed have a different high?  Actually here's a better example - ever notice how what type of alcohol you drink gives you a different kinda buzz?  You can't possibly say that drinking beer, wine, or hard liquor is ALL the same.  There's little differences in the intoxication - yet they  all contain ethanol.
