Buying Compost/Dung
    #928721 - 10/03/02 02:13 PM (21 years, 5 months ago)

Right now I am working on basic verm casings but in a few months I want to move on to dung. Will there still be quality compost for sale then or will it be gone becaues of the winter?

Thanks,
Jacc1234

Its my experience that you can get manure based compost all year long at Home Depot.

also, i would use coco coir instead of vermiculite. people i know have had much better success with it, it's a bit harder to find though. look in a pet store, i believe it's repfile bedding, sold as a dense brick.

My friend uses this TEK and has had good luck with it http://www.lilshopofspores.com/Lil%20Shop%20Sack%20o%20Shit%20Tek.htm
And he get the compost/manure at Lows.
