Cyan Patch Visited by Alien - Photographic Evidence !
    #9225672 - 11/11/08 05:10 PM (15 years, 4 months ago)

I was collecting Cyans yesterday in SW WA, I have been finding loads of Cyans in and around a clear cut near my home. I came upon this little green critter climbing all over a small patch of fresh Cyans. I'm still not sure why there are so many cyans growing around a clear cut like this. I've been out in areas like this for many years and have never come across Cyans. Well I'm glad to see that the are proliferating like this. Enjoy the rest of the pics.

nice. i don't think mantises eat gastropods, but he might be guarding your patch from critter competitors.

that's alright bro, i'm in cyan country in oregon right now, and i haven't either, yet i did find some friscosa up here.

i'm postulating a canid's law of Psilocybe hunting, stating that whatever active species makes the least sense for your area, a shroomery member will find it.

keep up the hunt for cyans, maybe you'll stumble across Weraroa novaezelandiae this season. lol.

Will have my vote in POTM as well! Notice how it's changing the color of its arm things to be camouflaged with the cyans.

Beautiful pictures! I always like ones with a some kind of critter. And mantis are so cool looking.

BTW, to those that want to vote for a pic in the POTM contest, it has to be nominated first. *hint hint* :smirk:
