Datura inoxia growing question

Although I have come across a fair amount of posts about this unique plant, I still have a question. I recently came into possession of 30 or so Datura inoxia seeds. I am planning on adding a plant or two to my garden (one to possibly make into a tincture and one to display a beautiful flower) and I was curious if anyone knows if freezing the seed for a week or two before planting is necessary or recommended? The person who gifted me the seeds recommended it but I cant seem to find any posts on shroomery of people using this method. Any help or advice would be graciously welcomed.

Alright I think I am going to soak in a coffee filter in a plastic bag by some low heat. I read about someone else having success with this method on another thread.

DO NOT SOAK THEM. Every thing I read said not to and I have my first seedling with two leaves and I didn't soak.

All I did was plant them 1/4 inch down in miracle gro soil, give them a 10-15-10 fert. and put them in my closit of dreams. The little guy is like 1 inch tall with two leaves. Its only been two days since sprouting too. Its my first time growing datura.

Same as you, Datura Inoxia! I also have some persian white poppies, two unidentified cacti, an astrophytum cacti, a venus flytrap and some Mazatapec cubes (Though everything I say is a lie).

Pretty impressive, makes me want a bigger closit! I actually have (3)3 foot cuttings of peruvian torch cactus coming from MOD EDIT: Source discussion NOT allowed, read the rules. I'm probably gonna try to plant a six foot cutting from one and save the rest for my shamanic work. Oh, and if you want a flytrap look in the garden section at a store, thats where I got mine about 5 days ago. I'd give you seeds but i don't have any.

Would you ever consider consuming your datura just out of curiosity?

I would if I had the guidence of a more experianced shaman or just start off extreamly low. I plan on it I guess. I really like the look of datura and I would use leaves and flowers as offerings and exotic inscence(?). I've had a dose of 50 seeds once but had very little effect probably because I was distracted.

I trusted friend of mine recently blessed me with ayahuasca prepared by a shaman in peru. He said the shaman used over 40 herbs when preparing it. I have heard of adding very minute quantities datura to certain substances to compliment or potentiate the effects. I wonder if datura was one of the 40?

Could be that or brugmansia, they're very common ingredients in aya. I also got some mimosa hostillis, datura flowers and cappi vine coming my way, mabey I'll through a flower in there. I've read in Plants of the Gods that brugmansia is used to treat mental illness I think in aya preparation.
