Is light able to reach your jars while they are incubating?

Are you sure you want to eat those?:mushroom2:

It's fine to expose colonizing jars to light....but those colonized and grew mushrooms that large in only 27 days?

That's not what is causing the invitro fruiting. I colonize my jars in light exposure, un-incubated, just sitting on a shelf quite often.

Looks like some half pint jars, but he's only using a 1/4 pint worth of substrate. There's lots of space in-between the substrate and the lid. Air can definitely get in that jar, and air is way more of a pinning trigger than light.

Nice shrooms btw. They look pretty meaty.

There are many pinning triggers, a little bit of light alone will not make them fruit.

Very important for everyone to remember that.

Exposure to fresh air is a much bigger pinning trigger than any of the others.
