Teen high on magic mushrooms [UK]

A MARTHAM teenager took 100 magic mushrooms as he sat by a riverbank and then crashed through the window of a houseboat, a court heard today.
Charles Blake was so high after taking so many of the hallucinatory fungi that he could have easily fallen into the River Thurne and drowned, instead of crashing through the houseboat at Martham.
Blake was ordered to pay £322.82 compensation to the boat owner after he admitted causing criminal damage on the evening of October 9.
Yarmouth Magistrates heard the 19-year-old had boiled and eaten the magic mushrooms in the space of 30 minutes while he sat on the riverbank near the Martham Boat Company.
Gary Mayle, prosecuting, said that at about 6.20pm some fisherman heard a loud crash and then saw Blake in a confused state with blood pouring from his feet.
Mr Mayle said: “He was wearing just his jeans. He was acting in a somewhat odd manner. He screamed and shouted he was going to die.”
The fishermen then discovered that Blake, of Rollesby Road, Martham, had suffered feet injuries after he had fallen through the window of the boathouse - leaving the interior of the craft covered in blood.
Because of the paranoid effects of the magic mushrooms Blake was convinced he was being followed along the riverbank.
Mr Mayle said: “In a reckless moment he had smashed through the window of a houseboat nearby. He had no specific recollection of the incident. He was under the influence of magic mushrooms.”
Magistrates were told that Blake, who is blind in one eye, had three previous convictions for criminal damage and is on benefits.
Annette Hall, representing Blake, said: “He accepts through his stupidity in taking the magic mushrooms that he has actually caused this offence.
“A very, very foolish thing to do and one he bitterly regrets.”
Blake, who has a two-year-old daughter, was ordered to pay £322.82 compensation but no order for prosecution costs was made because of his financial situation.

Had this been alcohol related there probably wouldn't be a news article about it.

just more bad stigma about mushrooms in the public. Why can't they ever have a story about a kid on mushrooms who realizes there is more to this world than material possessions, or someone who finds a deeper meaning in life like helping others. just sad.

Wait, so was he blinded in one eye from going through the window? Or was he already half-blind and the lack of depth perception was a contributing factor to the accident?
Fuck, I couldn't imagine keeping balance while tripping that hard, let alone with one eye.

"Magistrates were told that Blake, who is blind in one eye, had three previous convictions for criminal damage and is on benefits"
so im sure it was the mushrooms fault 100% and not the fact that he has prior violent convictions. lame

As it's the UK in the mushroom season they were probably Liberty Caps, which are tiny. One hundred is a big dose but nothing like 100 cubes.

100 mushrooms is 100 liberty caps i'm assuming (they are the predominant shroom in the UK, and they are tiny!). 20 is a regular dose. If this was alcohol-related it would just be another story to tell the mates. I wonder how many shroom related car accidents there are compared to alcohol related....

I figured they were liberty caps, but still...100 is rough just to be sitting out doing whatever the hell he planned to do. I gotta be inside with a dose like that.

Haha, that's what i was gonna say. If there's one thing we don't need it's more bad stigmatas.
When I read the headline I imagined a news story about some kid that was high on mushrooms. Just a video of some teen with his mouth agape and pupils huge, staring at the camera for 20 minutes.

rofl. hilarious commentary. Honestly I think this is a beautiful, honest story, like the brothers grimm fairytales. not enough money. I mean the people feel for/ with him, you know, and i agree a hudnred is a bit many i mean ive eaten 40-50 grams fresh in edinborough once, that was so awesome, though, after watching snatch, staggering down leith to a flat near asda there, and pouring water on my head so i could feel my shiny consciousness rising into the shiny water it was so amazing wooooooooooooahooooow! but a hudnred. ya. i love the love in this story, you know, they found him bleeding, they where there with him he was with them the fishermen who heard you know. I think its beautiful story. and your commentary is hilarious... high larious. haha

PS. I dont think this is a bad stigmata at all. He went 'down' under positive auspices. he just, much like a belligerent drunk, just took it took far with 100 shrooms, anyone agree with me? I mean we all like a drink now and then right but no one likes a trashed drunken alc staggering around. and we all like a shroom now and then right but no one likes [it when] someone takes too many and behaves inappropriately.
This can be compared to alcohol. Moderation again, is key. In fact, rather than BAD STIGMATA, I THINK THIS IS GOOD publicity, counter intuitively, you guys may disagree, but I mean. It shows he wasnt out ta kill someone, but yes, obviously he's a SHROOM-AHOLIC
HAHAHA kekeke

He must have also been bleeding from both hands. There is nothing worse than bad stigmata.
