what books should I get?
    #9121642 - 10/23/08 02:44 PM (15 years, 4 months ago)

I want to get like 2 books.

Has anyone read the Psychedelic Experience? http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Psychedelic-Experience/Timothy-Leary/e/9780806516523/?itm=1

I don't want to read something that is crap.

I am thinking about Trainspotting, mostly because the movie was good. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Trainspotting/Irvine-Welsh/e/9780393057249/?itm=2

Liberal Fascism seems pretty interesting. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Liberal-Fascism/Jonah-Goldberg/e/9780385511841/?itm=1

I am open to suggestions.

If you interested in psychedelic books, then both of Rick Strassmans books, "DMT:The Spirit Molecule" and "Inner Paths to Outer Space" both cover a long range of topics.  Like said before any of Aldous Huxley's books, or "The electric Kool-Aid acid tests".

I just read "Sybil" and it was very good, its about a girl with like 20 some different personalities.

I feel like the Psychedelic Experience is a must read for trippers, IMO.  There have been so many times when I've been tripping balls and at the verge of freaking out, but then I just remember passages that I've read from that book and I'm cool as gravy, aware of what was happening to me and my ego and able to focus on surrender.  I found it very helpful for my psychonautical career.

You can read it online, but it's generally a pretty cheap book...I've given away like three copies now.

Where would I find The Doors of Perception online? Any sites better than others? Torrents? Just straight online?
