-------------------- "If we could sniff or swallow something that would, for five or six hours each day, abolish our solitude as individuals, atone us with our fellows in a glowing exaltation of affection and make life in all its aspects seem not only worth living, but divinely beautiful and significant, and if this heavenly, world-transfiguring drug were of such a kind that we could wake up next morning with a clear head and an undamaged constitution - then, it seems to me, all our problems (and not merely the one small problem of discovering a novel pleasure) would be wholly solved and earth would become paradise." - Aldous Huxley GIVE ME OPIATES OR GIVE ME DEATH

read the doors of perception by Aldous Huxley, its a great book on his experiance with mescaline, i think The Doors named their band after the book
-------------------- Genesis 1:29 - Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you"

If you interested in psychedelic books, then both of Rick Strassmans books, "DMT:The Spirit Molecule" and "Inner Paths to Outer Space" both cover a long range of topics. Like said before any of Aldous Huxley's books, or "The electric Kool-Aid acid tests".
I just read "Sybil" and it was very good, its about a girl with like 20 some different personalities.

I feel like the Psychedelic Experience is a must read for trippers, IMO. There have been so many times when I've been tripping balls and at the verge of freaking out, but then I just remember passages that I've read from that book and I'm cool as gravy, aware of what was happening to me and my ego and able to focus on surrender. I found it very helpful for my psychonautical career.
You can read it online, but it's generally a pretty cheap book...I've given away like three copies now.
