Bad trips

The other weekend me and my friend took some mushrooms, we ate about 2.5 dry grams each and it was our first time taking it. I had a really good trip but my friend started freaking out. He kept thinking he was gonna go crazy and saying stuff that made no sense. Also he kept asking me what we took and what we did that day, probaly like 50 times
I really want him to see how good they can be but i dont want him to freak out again. I told him to take a lil less next time but if he freaks out is there anyway to kinda help him calm down?

Don't let him eat mushrooms anymore. If anyone eats 2.5 grams and forgets 50 times what they took, they do not need to be eating psychedelics EVER.

in my experience, the best way to calm someone down from a bad trip is to have someone who has been through a bad trip before but come out the other side and had good experiences after that to talk to said person. when you know what they're thinking and all the crazy shit that's going through their mind, it's a lot easier to talk them down.

Tell the about the Yin-yang. It's all perception. IN the yin-yang there is 50% light and 50% dark. It is the same with life. Face your fears and look past the darkness.
It worked when I said it to one of my friends. I said it differently though. Kind of out of it... very tired right now!

I dunno. I've never had that happen. That sounds insane. That's some bad vibes.

Well if it was, at least I tried Seriously though, if he wants to try them again let him. People having bad trips is really beyond your control. There are sites with detailed information on how to get out of a bad trip.
You have to make sure the guy realizes he's on a drug and the drug is causing him to think this way. it WILL be over eventually regardless of what he/she says. I knew this information but refused to believe that it would end. I figured I was going to be a moron for the rest of my life. I wish I had someone telling me that I'd be alright.
Deal with it as if it's a small problem too. Don't be all "Are you having a BAD TRIP? OH SHIT!" Be calm about it.
EDIT: alot of times bad trips are associated with setting. Change the mood of the place. If you're friend is uncomfortable put on some soothing music or ask him how it is. Tell him you're going through the same things and it's ok. Tell him that instead of worrying about things to enjoy what's going on. This is one such bad trip guide:
1) Dim the lights, turn off the TV, music, everything else. Clear your mind
2) Keep your mind clear, only these words may enter: Focus on each of your muscles and make them relax. Release the tension one muscle at a time. From your head down to your toes. Keep your mind clear. Take your time.
3) Keep your mind clear, only these words may enter: Focus on your breathing, Take slow, deep breathes. Breath like you would if you were sleeping. Keep your muscles relaxed.
4) Keep your mind clear, only these words may enter What could you do right now that would be the most fun you could possibly have? Stay relaxed and imagine yourself slowly getting up and beginning to do it. If it feels good and it feels safe then,

... I'm not going to get into an argument with a guy with one post
Kidding, but still bro. There is no "accurate" way to get people out of bad trips. There is no right way of doing anything when dealing with psychedelics. Each person will react differently to psychedelics and it will take different methods to keep them out of bad trips. These are just ways that MIGHT work.
Changing the setting is a huge deal when dealing with bad trips. Something as simple as a song change or leaving the area can be the difference between being paranoid and having a good time.

Rule #1
Once you learn how to fly you will learn how to prevent bad trips, deal with bad trips, and learn from them.
Keep in mind, psychedelics are not for everyone. I know alot of people who have used psychedelics once, and never used them again. Mainly because they cannot control their mind, and fear what it shows them.
-------------------- "There is a world beyond ours, a world that is far away, nearby, and invisible. And there is where God lives, where the dead live, the spirits and the saints, a world where everything has already happened and everything is known. That world talks. It has a language of its own. I report what it says. The sacred mushroom takes me by the hand and brings me to the world where everything is known. It is they, the sacred mushrooms, that speak in a way I can understand."
