Sounds like wet spot bacteria to me. Is orange/brown and very common, especially when you're substrate is too wet.

I have it aswell..
But in my PF growth..
It doesnt spread anything and i have several "bumps" that havent got the dark spots..
They reeeeeeeeally look like sclerotia but ive heard that cubensis doesnt form sclerotia..(all these sclerotia-looking things formed before actual pinning and only grew for about 1 day...havent grown ANYTHING since..(6 days after)...)

Im gonna try to post pics..
(DAMN..i gotta get my digi-cam working)

finally got my cam working..
Ok... here it is :

This hard thing hasnt grown anything and reeeeeeeally looks like sclerotia as i said...
Amazonian Cubensis..!!!!

Strange ....?? Yes...

What is it..???
