sometimes I get really nostalgic about my past life. I used to hang out with my friends all day, smoke weed, play music, and run around town at night on mushrooms and lsd like nothing else mattered.
now all I do is go to school and work on projects and be otherwise extremely effecient about things. I like what I'm doing, I get to be creative alot, but I miss the way things used to be. I don't think I'd want to go back to that, but theres something haunting about it, knowing there was this time when I just lived to have fun and explore in total abandon. being 17, on acid, and running under the stars with my girlfriend, its quite a powerful memory, and I just can't believe I was actually there experiencing it. ah... so beautiful.
well just wanted to share that sentiment
im sure alot of you have similar stories

ya when i think about my dorm days i feel like cryin, even tho life is just as cool now its just that i miss the old days soooo bad

I know exactly what you mean. It'll never be as free and new as when we were younger, but that doesn't/shouldn't stop you from forging new memories that are just as important.

I totally empathize, I think about my days being young and careless with a lot of sugar-coating. I'm not especially happy with my life at the moment, but everything happens for a [hopefully good] reason, right?

I was a dumbass when i was a kid. I am way more responible and smart about the things i do. I had alot of good times, but i would never repeat them with the people i hang out with in the past. Right now is so much better imo. I do miss the old days sometimes, but for me wanting that again is boarderline suicidal and dangerous lol. I do miss the lack of responibility, but i think that is what caused me to be so wreckless in the past.

I physically moved away from that life to pursue an education, and while I could never go back; I think about it almost every day.

yea, I had to move halfway across the country. just felt compelled to get far away from that place and that lifestyle.
I know I was depressed alot back then as well, but I can only remember having fun.
