My field got mowed!
    #9042784 - 10/07/08 02:41 PM (15 years, 6 months ago)

I made a trip to my local spot, and found that it had been mowed. I usually have great success with cubies in the tall grass, and I'm wondering how things will be affected. .....or did they do me a favor?

I have the same problem with a weilii patch i frequent, the people who cut the grass use massive lawn mowers that leave deep imprints of there wheels in the soil.

They have mowed this patch 4 times this year, each time it would take the weilii a few weeks after to recover fully. But i think it has actually made the patch produce more.

When someone walks over an area that produces mushrooms they leave debris behind them, the mycelium will reach up to grab onto the debris created and use them to spread out and grow more.
